Vs 19, A reminder that simply being religious doesn’t guarantee you understand what God is doing.
Vs. 20, John the Baptist makes clear that he is not the Christ, he has many followers yet recognizes his place and demonstrates humility.
Vs 23, John understood His calling and stays on track, he is the voice carrying the message, he is not the message.
Vs 32, Continuing to serve, John is permitted to witness God at work!
Vs. 34, John knows how to witness, he testifies of what he personally has experienced, he didn’t argue or debate religion!
Lessons to learn and practice, living a life where God is glorified and Christ is lifted up allows the freedom for the Spirit of God to freely work in and through our lives.
God bless!
