Coming From a Blessing to a Blessing!

This past weekend I was blessed to be a part of the American Christian Writer’s conference in Dallas, Texas. There is something special about being with creative people. This is especially true when their focus is on taking a talent like writing and finding ways to use it to God’s glory. One of the growing areas in Christian writing is Christian Fiction. Stories with strength, lessons about life, and a realistic view of how God works in situations are being written by writers of diverse cultures and background. I had the opportunity to speak with some sci-fi writers with a Christian focus, a unique and special area of interest.

People may enjoy reading great books; they may not appreciate the labor of love that goes on in the writing and marketing of books. This conference brought in some of the best teachers, established authors and editors to do the teaching. We, the writers, were hungry for practical sound teaching and we were blessed. In addition the fellowship was great to find others with similar struggles and challenges, questions and unique ways of bringing inspiration and ink together.

It was a great to be at the ACW Writer’s Conference. However, it is also good to be back home. In my absence a great team continued to keep touching lives and seeing people saved. Praise God for people of faith who support you in so many different ways. One of the wonderful ways we can feel God’s hand is in our work is when we are not the only ones working; God is working through the lives of those around us.
